Tri-State Food Bank, Inc. is a Feeding America affiliate. Address is 2504 Lynch Road, Evansville, IN 47711, but is covers several parts of Kentucky. Call 812-425-0775. The non-profit can help families in several counties in Kentucky. Free boxes of emergency food, canned goods, referrals, and other aid is available. They also have mobile food pantries, USDA commodities, Meals on Wheels, and other support.

 

 

 

  • There is also Kids Cafe and Afterschool Snack Program, with snacks and healthy groceries given to kids for the weekend or summer breaks. The counties supported include Crittenden, Daviess, Henderson, Hopkins, Livingston, Mc Lean, Union, as well as Webster County.

Feeding Kentucky is a coalition of local and statewide food banks and meal sites. They have a free to use statewide map and referrals. This is the state association serving all 120 counties. Use the county-by-county map to pull up active pantries, mobile distributions including soup kitchens, and program referrals.

  • The association also partners with churches and local non-profit pantries. Bags of groceries, meats, canned items, fruits, and more is available. May have special Thanksgiving and Christmas meals or gift baskets. May also have information on public aid such as SNAP food stamps or WIC. Feeding America, Kentucky's Heartland works with food pantries, churches, non-profits, the United Way and other groups. The goal is to help feed the low-income, elderly, disabled, single moms and others. Get free food or meals. Or access case management as part of SNAP Outreach Program. They also help families shop for groceries (teach about unit pricing) and have healthy cooking and wellness workshops.

They include Adair, Allen, Ballard, Barren, Breckinridge, Butler, Caldwell, Calloway, Carlisle, Casey, Christian, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Fulton, Graves, and Grayson. The Feeding America center also covers Green, Hancock, Hardin, Hart, Hickman, Larue, Logan, Lyon, Marion, Marsh, all, McCracken, Meade, Metcalfe, Monroe, Muhlenberg, Nelson, Ohio, Russell, Simpson, Taylor, Todd, Trigg, Warren, Washington, and Wayne County KY. God's Pantry Food Bank, Inc. can give referrals to emergency and long term food programs, including SNAP food stamps or WIC vouchers for baby formula. They also help struggling residents access, and find, free food pantries or soup kitchens near them for immediate support. Other programs include Summer Feeding Program, The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), Senior Brown Bag and others.

The service area is the counties of Anderson, Bath, Bell, Bourbon, Boyle, Breathitt, Carter, Clark, Clay, Elliott, Estill, Fayette, Fleming, Floyd, Franklin, Garrard, Harlan, Harrison, Jackson, Jessamine,, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Laurel, and Lee. They also help people find a food bank in the counties of Leslie, Letcher, Lewis, Lincoln, Madison, Magoffin, Martin, McCreary, Menifee, Mercer, Montgomery, Morgan, Nicholas, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Powell, Pulaski, Robertson, Rockcastle, Rowan, Scott, Whitley, Wolfe, and also Woodford.

Dare to Care Food Bank is based at 5803 Fern Valley Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40228. Call 502.966.3821. Free food, groceries, hygiene supplies and other support is offered. They also offer USDA commodities, referrals to Meals on Wheels home delivery, as well as culinary training programs. Whether a child, or seniors, free food and  other public benefits are offered. There is help for people in the counties of Bullitt, Carroll, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble KY.

Food banks in KentuckyThe Salvation Army operates food pantries and meal programs across Kentucky There are distribution centers in Louisville, Central KY, Hopkinsville, and other cities. Homeless people and households living in poverty can get fresh or canned food, dairy items, produce and other goods. Jackson County Food Bank is just for people in the county. The address is 1257 McCammon Ridge Rd, McKee, KY 40447. Works with other charities and pantries in the county in order to help the less fortunate. Fruits, vegetables, peanut butter, paper products, and other items may be provided to the unemployed and struggling in the county. Call (606) 287-8336.

Christian Food Bank Of Hopkins County supports the entire county. Boxes of groceries, baby formula, fruits, frozen foods and more may be provided to those that qualify. All goods are free with local home delivery too. The location is 241 W Center St, Madisonville KY, 42431. Call (270) 825-8296.
