Free food pantries, soup kitchens and meals Warren County and Bowling Green.

In an emergency, a free food pantry near you in Warren County may be able to help. The locations, most of which are charity run or non-profits, provide families with a number of resources including free groceries, personal hygiene supplies and basic needs. The pantries and free food banks, as well as applications to government benefits, are listed below. The pantries may pass out free groceries today, give out baby formula or diapers, serve meals from a soup kitchen, and offer seasonal holiday help. Many of the Bowling Green centers also help with applying for SNAP food stamps or USDA school lunches for their kids.

The assistance is wide ranging. As an example, the local Bowling Green Feeding America site not only can refer families to a free food pantry, but they operate services such as the backback program or Meals on Wheels for seniors or the disabled. Often a location will have other, basic needs too. This depends on locations, but it is not uncommon for a food bank to offer free clothing, Christmas toys or meals, and school supplies. The goal it to not turn any resident away, but resources are limited.

St. Joseph Conference - St. Vincent DePaul
The charity may have free clothing, food, household items, furniture, appliances, and more. The homebound can request Meals on Wheels too. There are also vouchers for medications and other aid. Free personal hygiene and household items, including detergent, soap, feminine goods and other items may be offered.
