The first place you should turn to for help in Beaver County Pennsylvania is the Community Services Program of Beaver County. They are the local community action agency, and they can provide people access to services they offer, and they can also refer people to other local charities as well as government programs. Rent Help and Homeless Assistance Program
If you are facing an eviction from your home or apartment, or if you are currently homeless, the Homeless Assistance Program (HAP) which is run by the agency is a great resource to use for help. The program makes available a continuum of services, charities, and non-profit agencies to families and individuals who are at risk of becoming homeless, and help can even be provided to people who are currently homeless right now. The Beaver County Community Services Program administers the Housing Program by establishing partnerships as well as subcontract agreements with local social service agencies and charities. These various agencies will provide struggling individuals with the necessary support that may be needed to support homeless individuals, including providing rental assistance, emergency shelter, case management, bridge housing, and information and referrals to other federal and Pennsylvania state programs.

Emergency shelter program/energy bill help
This is another housing type program, however it provides both assistance for housing costs, including funds for utility and heating bills. The federal government created this program, and local agencies are responsible for running it and disbursing the funds. The overall goal is to keep people in their homes, and ensure that someone’s utility service remains connected is part of ensuring a home is livable.
Home Repairs and Improvement
The Beaver County agency also runs the Emergency Home Improvement Program. This service focuses on addressing emergency home repair needs of low income, elderly, and disabled homeowners in an effort to eliminate code violations and ensure the home is safe to live in. Qualifying participants in the program will receive home repairs and/or improvements to their home such as: furnace/water heater repairs or replacement; installation or repair of wells; installation of water, gas, sewer lines; and include the removal of physical barriers for those with disabilities. Eligibility for support and participation in the program is evaluated on an individual basis of need for low income homeowners.

Assistance for basic needs and bills
The Catholic Charities Beaver County office (p: 724-775-0758) offers low income and other qualified residents a host of assistance programs. People can get access to holiday assistance programs, such as meals and holiday gifts. Also receive access to rental assistance programs that can provide money for security deposits and overdue rent. Funds may also be available for paying heating and utility bills. Last, but not least, they can provide emergency and disaster assistance for crisis situations.
