Where to Get Help Paying Rent in Marshall County, Alabama

Marshall County doesn't have a single central rental assistance office — what it has is a spread of programs run through the county's community action agency, the Salvation Army, several housing authorities, and a handful of local nonprofits. The list below is a verified set of places to contact if you're behind on rent, at risk of eviction, or need help with a security deposit.

Funding at most of these programs is limited and given on a case-by-case basis, so calling early matters. If you want a broader referral set to other organizations that may offer rental assistance beyond what's here, United Way of Marshall County runs a 211 line at (256) 582-4700 — but the programs listed on this page include contacts that don't always appear in that database.
