Find how to get free back to school supplies for churches, charities, and non-profits in Orange County California. There are a number of assistance programs that help low-income families, single moms, and people in need. There will be free uniforms for students, school supplies, backpacks, Chromebooks and even gift cards given away. Locate a free back to school supply programs in Orange County CA below.

A list of dedicated organizations are below, including the main one which is the Assistance League. Or find other free clothing closets in Orange County California, that will also provide free clothes with some school items too. While each program is different, there may be supplies for kids from kindergarten to high school. There may be some or all of the following, based on donations.

  • Basic school supplies include notebooks, Lunch Boxes, backpacks of all sizes, and either laptops or Chromebooks.
    Writing materials including pens, highlighters, crayons, colored pencils and other items.
  • More advanced items such as binders, Scientific Calculators, Personal Organizers, textbooks, Protractors and other stuff.
  • Free school supplies will also include personal toiletries for students in Orange County, and that will be hand sanitizer, soap, laundry detergent and even a haircut from a volunteer stylist.
  • Clothes for kids of all ages and sizes, and there will be uniforms, sneakers, dresses, t-shirts and other clothing for students.

Other free stuff is given to kids. School supply events are for low-income families and people with no money.  There will be items for immigrants or migrant homes as well as single mom or dad homes in Orange County. Free clothes, including for school, are part of the  Homeless Street Outreach program. There will be writing material, blankets, hygiene kits and other items for kids who are in school.

Salvation Army Orange County CA
The faith based charity has a number of social services. There are free clothes, food, and back to school supply giveaways. The school supply program is known as HOPES Collaborative and Giving Children Hope. The non-profit partners with other charities and corporations to help students from low-income households.

A combination of free or low-cost, bargain items are offered, including laptops, school supplies for kids, clothes and other kids. A major focus is on women facing DV, the poor, and immigrants among others, but get free clothing, ESL classes, education stuff and other goods.
