Good Samaritan of Maury County - This Family Center program provides assistance with rent and housing payments to low income families and individuals in Maury County. Columbia Cares - This agency helps those with AID/HIV, and they can provide two services. One is counseling and information on financial advice. The local Maury County community action agency is South Central Human Resource Agency. This non-profit administers numerous federal and state of Tennessee government assistance programs. Resources include the following.

  • Emergency assistance  - This service provides grant money to families and individuals in emergency situations (such as evictions, utility disconnection, or unexpected medical issues). There are also applications to the federal Food and Shelter Program.

Maury County DHS is a government run agency that runs programs. Some of the services offered include TANF cash assistance, Medicaid, food stamps, as well as other state and federal government health care programs. Hope Clinic gives free or income based medical to the homeless, low-income and uninsured. Free basic dental, medical check ups, physicals and urgent care is given too.
