Utah free food banks, pantries, and soup kitchens.

Get information on free food banks, soup kitchens for hot meals and emergency pantries in Utah. These distribution centers are run by non-profit organizations and charities that are committed to providing free groceries, meals and help to low-income families or people with no income or money. Find a free food bank near you in UT.

A wide variety of programs are offered. In addition to offering canned goods, food and groceries, some pantries near you may be able to provide counseling, applications to SNAP or WIC and general support. This can include information on where to get Thanksgiving and free Christmas meals, free drive thru pantries in UT, dog or cat food and more. The centers will try to not turn anyone away that needs help. There is also a referral phone number at the bottom of the page which families in Utah can call, and they can get more information on emergency food pantries near them.

These free food banks are the primary organizations in Utah, but the actual items are usually distributed by more local non-profit organizations, soup kitchens and charities. For example, many of these centers provide food boxes or government commodities to the local churches, Salvation Army branches, and similar groups that then provide the grocery items directly to people who need help. They are also a great place to turn to for information on both state of UT and federal government assistance programs, or look here for financial hardship assistance programs.

Also keep in mind that other organizations exist in your local town, city, county, or community. When contacting a free food bank, ask a staff member at the site as they may have information to other organizations to turn to for help near you, in your community.
