Rent assistance programs in Tuscarawas County

When facing homelessness, several organizations in Tuscarawas County may be able to help with rent, moving or storage costs, or even provide a security deposit for a new affordable home or apartment. The types of agencies that may be able to assist low to moderate income families with their housing include:

-Housing authorities for HUD section 8 vouchers.

-Attorneys can provide free aid to stop evictions, address landlord issues, or help with housing discrimination.

-Cash grants for paying back rent may be offered by charities or some non-profits provide loans for rental, utility or security deposit costs.

Any financial help for paying rent or any housing costs (a mortgage, utility bill, deposit, etc.) is limited.
