Residents can get help from Christian Associates of Table Rock Lake, Kimberling City. They offer several resources and programs that can provide help to individuals and families during today’s difficult economy. Some of the programs include the following.

Food Pantry
Will provide people with a limited amount of food to help make ends meet.

Financial assistance, and family and community services.
People in need can get help with paying utilities, money for overdue rent and also funds to help prevent an eviction from their current housing. Some other aid offered includes housing assistance for up to 2 years, case management, and several so called “life skills”. These skills can include job training, credit counseling, budget management, (issues management), communications skills, debt reduction, socialization, and more. There are some conditions to be able to receive assistance, and you need to apply. Also, appointments are strongly recommended. There will also be a screening and intake process. Assistance will be provide to those who have a salary of up to 50% of the county's median income, of course adjusted for family size. In addition, food and thrift shop items given on an as-needed basis.

The non-profit organization runs a series of Neighborhood Centers, and specialists at these centers work on a daily basis with families and individuals throughout Stone County Missouri to help them achieve self-sufficiency and stability over the long term.

 

 

 

 

Specifically, some of the services and resources administered include emergency assistance for expenses like rent and utilities, one-on-one Family Support and Targeted Coaching, Life Skills workshops, and referrals to other community programs as well as government programs.

In addition, a plethora of governmental and community funds, as well as private grants, are used to provide additional help with free food pantries, rent, or WIC program, mortgage assistance and utility bill assistance; funding is limited, so apply early and call for additional details.

  • Basic needs include free groceries from a pantry and clothing from a thrift store.
  • Case management and employment assistance.
