Peoples Community Action Corporation has grants to help pay rent. This is another community action agency that covers the city of St. Louis itself. One of the major programs is around housing with another around case management. Guardian Angel Settlement helps seniors, adults and families with rent and housing needs. The main office is 3300 South Jefferson Avenue, Saint Louis, MO 63118. The Salvation Army has multiple offices in the county and city. Everything from emergency rent help to free motel vouchers as well as homeless shelters are on site.   • Gateway Citadel Community Center Emergency Social Services is non-profit that offers numerous referrals and financial aid. They are part of the Salvation Army in St. Louis. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has a number of housing programs, including for rent or a utility bill. The Archdiocesan Council of St. Louis has programs for the low-income tenants that are living in poverty and that are behind on rent, but have not received an eviction notice, can apply for help. Human Services administers the federal government benefits, including temporary cash aid (which can help pay rent or utilities). There is also the government funded Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program. Legal Services of St. Louis and Eastern Missouri is government funded, pro-bono law firm. Attorneys, volunteers, and staff help low income renters as well as seniors.
