SouthWest Water and Monarch Utilities assistance programs.

Low-income customers, seniors, and disabled customers from SouthWest Water Company and Monarch Utilities can get help from programs the including Help2Others, or H2O, water bill assistance program. The program is run in partnership with other agencies and qualified customers may be able to receive up to $40 per month for their water and/or sewer bills. Another emergency, or catastrophic assistance program, can be offered to customers of all income levels if they meet eligibility requirements and other terms.

There are a number of conditions in place and that need to be met by applicants. They include some or all of the following. Of course individuals will need to be a residential customer. Your total household income can’t be greater than 125% of the current Federal Government Poverty Guideline. This also takes into account the number of household members you have, so if you have more people in your home, your income can be higher.

SouthWest Water works with a number of non-profits and social service agencies across Texas. If you want more information, or if you are looking to apply to the program, then you will need to contact one of the agencies below. An appointment will be required, and maybe an interview as well.

During this appointment, be sure to come prepared. Applicants need to bring proof of income, expenses, photo ID, and other financial documentation for all members of your household 18 years of age or older. The interview is confidential.

Monarch Utilities is committed to doing their part to help struggling customers who are faced with a hardship. The H2O program is the main resource for accomplishing this goal for struggling customers. H20 is funded by SouthWest Water Company, Monarch Utilities and employees. After successfully enrolling, clients will need to remain current on their account. The non-profits that work with Monarch Utilities and SouthWest Water are listed below. Call a nearby center to apply.
