Transitional housing programs in Sarasota, Manatee, and Manatee County.

Transitional housing services are offered for families facing eviction or the homeless. Many agencies and non-profit charity type organization in the Sarasota County Florida region administer assistance to those that qualify. Additional support may also be offered for residents of Manatee or DeSoto County.

Each program and agency will have an application process in place. A number of needs can be met as well by the agencies, including those of veterans, senior citizens, disabled, and the homeless. Families that were recently evicted can also get assistance from a transitional housing programs.

As part of the process, participants will also work with a case manager or social worker on self-sufficiency skills, such as financial literacy and job training. When ready to leave the program, the case manger can help the client find a permanent home in the Sarasota region. Or you can also explore government subsidies (such as section 8) or financial assistance for paying your rent.

Administers Transitional Housing as part of the FAITH Program. This is a long term program. It also ensure clients receive applicable supportive services for homeless families. Housing may also be for parents who have lost jobs, single-parent homeless families with children, and those that don't have enough money saved to pay bills and the rent while searching for employment. The Salvation Army can also support those families facing eviction, but have a poor credit history. Get help in finding a paying for a new home in the Sarasota County and other towns too.
