The main Salvation Army resource that has been helping people in Santa Clara County is the Family Services Department. Each Santa Clara Catholic Charity Family Services Department houses a free food pantry that provides meals and groceries to the needy in their local community. They will also work with food wholesalers and retailers for large-scale community distributions. Back to School Supplies - Each and every year, the Santa Clara County and Silicon Valley Salvation Army Silicon Valley hosts a Back to School event that helps low income families, the working poor and disadvantaged children prepare for school. Qualified school aged children can get fully stocked backpacks (with supplies) and school clothes and uniforms.
