Find rent assistance programs for low income families in Volusia County or Daytona Beach Florida. Tenants can find information on charity agencies, government programs, and churches that provide financial help for housing needs. Priority for any grant money or loans that help with rent will be given to low income families with children, seniors, disabled, and unemployed applicants who have an eviction notice. City of Deltona Housing and Community Development Program offers a number of housing resources. Halifax Urban Ministries has multiple locations, as noted below. The low income and working poor, homeless, and hungry can get assistance from this charity. Catholic Charities
Multiple churches provide support, including rent payment help. This is part of the Family Stability Program, which aims to limit or prevent evictions and homelessness. Appointments are needed in Volusia County. The charity helps the poor with housing and other needs. Regardless of the applicants religion, this charity organization provides low income families with financial help for paying back rent, mortgage or other housing expenses, including utilities. Volusia County Neighborhood Center - Phone 386-734-8120. Provides financial assistance and shelter. Some of the funds can go for rent or utility bills. They also have information on public benefits, legal aid, and housing vouchers. The center is at 434 S Woodland Blvd, DeLand, FL 32720. Families who live in West Volusia, from Pierson to Deltona, can call for rent or housing assistance programs.

Volusia County Human Services - A number of government programs are run from here. Everything from LIHEAP to section 8 housing vouchers. Call for information on programs offered to low income, seniors, the disabled and other needy county residents. Housing and mortgage assistance administered. Residents of Volusia County can apply for help, provided they meet eligibility criteria. In some instances, housing and rental assistance is available from a loan or short term aid.

Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing is available from a few sources in Volusia Count Florida. The agencies that participate offer federal grants for rental or utility arrears, legal expenses, shelter, and even motel vouchers when available. Help with rent in Volusia County FloridaSalty Family Services focuses on housing stability and financial needs. Salvation Army - This is a local office that is part of the national charity organization. Specialists provide low income and people who need help with a number of social services and assistance programs, including furniture, funds for paying rent, low income housing, and more. Legal Hotline is available in Volusia County. Dial 386-258-5600. Provides legal aid for civil matters. It can be offered for free to income qualified families, seniors, and others. Lawyers can arrange landlord / tenant mediation and advice on legal rights when it comes to evictions and security deposits.

Mid Florida Community Services can sometimes provide referrals to residents. The Community Services Block Grant may even occasionally have funds for a partial, one time back rent payment.
