Foreclosure assistance and prevention in Phoenix Arizona

Phoenix Arizona homeowners have several organizations, programs, and resources that provide low cost or free foreclosure prevention tactics and that can help them with their mortgage payments. Below you will find a listing of the organizations to call and programs to turn to for foreclosure help.

Lawyers Helping Homeowners

Many lawyers in the Phoenix area have volunteered their time as part of the Lawyers Helping Homeowners program. Volunteer lawyers will work closely with borrowers and their lenders to find appropriate financial arrangements and solutions to help them homeowner avoid a foreclosure and find some type of solution that works for both the lender and the borrower. The state and various law firms realize that keeping people in their homes helps stabilize the local economy and increase family security. The Arizona Supreme Court, State Bar of Arizona, and the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services & Education have partnered together to create this program for homeowners who need help. While it is unfortunate that not all homes can be saved from a foreclosure filing, the Lawyers Helping Homeowners program will be able to offer hope and solution  to many Phoenix families who might otherwise have options at their disposal. Phoenix HUD Counseling Agencies

The federal government has certified the following non-profits as HUD approved foreclosure counseling agencies. Housing counselors from these HUD agencies are available to provide free or low cost foreclosure prevention assistance to Phoenix homeowners. They can often times help them deal with outstanding debts and provide other aid such as budgeting assistance.
