The Novo Nordisk Patient Assistance Program will send out the supplies within 14 business days to be given to the patient. Medications are not mailed directly to the patient or a pharmacy.
Uninsured patients are enrolled in the program for 12 months and can submit a new application to the PAP to continue benefits. Low-income patients should reapply 30 days before the enrollment period ends. Medicare patients are enrolled until the end of the calendar year and can reapply for benefits after October 15th.
Automatic refills are allowed by the PAP from Novo Nordisk for most medication, which can be a huge benefit for people with a disability or the elderly who may lack transportation. Auto-refills are managed by the person prescribing the medication and will terminate at the end of the patient's enrollment period.
