Northwestern Florida short term housing programs.

Too many families face eviction or homelessness in the region. Transitional housing programs can assist them as they work to regain stability and find a more affordable and permanent home. The assistance ranges from emergency shelter to low income, sometimes government subsided homes or apartments.

Non-profit agencies across Escambia, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Washington County provide these services and related short term assistance to the needy. Homeless individuals, veterans, and single parents can also receive help. Not only will they be provided with a place to stay, but programs also usually provide case management, meals, and resources such as job search skills.

At the end of the transitional housing program, clients can work with a case manager in an effort to find a new home or apartment to live in. As part of this process you can explore public assistance, government subsides, and maybe even programs to help pay for a security deposit.
