Lubbock County free clothing closets, furniture banks and school supplies.

Lubbock County residents can turn to a free clothing closet or furniture bank in their time of need. Several charities, non-profits, and churches run these programs for qualified low income families. While the type of goods available can change, even based on the season, examples of items may include free clothes for work, bank to school supplies, furniture such as a bed or couch, or a holiday such as Christmas. Other household items, such as appliances or furniture, may be available at Lubbock Texas area thrift stores.

Low income families can get free clothes, school items, small basic appliances, furniture and other items, most of which will be gently used. As indicated, the centers do depend on donations and the generosity of the community. The clothing banks always need coats, backpacks for students, personal hygiene items, shoes, hats, and work attire. The free Lubbock County furniture banks needs appliances, mattresses or beds, couches and other furniture.

Everything you contribute will be put to good use and go to assist a family that needs help. Or contribute goods for the back to school or Christmas holiday season. Please donate if you can. Items are always needed, as the demand for basic needs such as clothing is very high.

On the other hand, if you are in need, some of the centers to call are below. Priority is often giving to low income families with children.
