Loudoun County free Christmas and holiday assistance programs.

Charities and in Loudon County administer free holiday programs to assist the less fortunate. Everything from free Toys to Tots to Salvation Army Tree programs, free Christmas food or Thanksgiving turkeys, and other holiday help is offered to the needy.

There are various churches, non-profits, and even the county's social service office which collect and distribute gift cards, toys, meals, food, presents, and more. The free programs assist clients during the Christmas season and other major holidays, with a focus on children, seniors, and the poor.

There are community dinners held during Thanksgiving and Christmas. A number of other services that allow parents to register for help. These programs may then provide their child a small gift such as a game, doll, bicycle, or other toy. While the names of these various services in Loudoun County Virginia vary by agency, they may be referred to as Adopt a Family, Toys for Tots, or even Angel Tree.

When seeking assistance during the holidays, apply early. Also be sure to bring proof of income, residency, citizen status, and need. If the client is elderly and needs home delivery of a Christmas meal, that can often be arranged too.

This is a program that operates in Loudon County, nearby towns and cities such as Sterling, and other areas. Based on donation levels, clients can receive toys for their child, Thanksgiving food baskets, free Christmas gifts, and much more.

A mobile canteen provides holiday meals. There is also a free Thanksgiving Dinner, toys from Angel Tree, and other financial aid provided in partnership with stores such as Sterling Big Lots. Another Christmas program is Angel Tree. Clients request clothing, toys, boots, shoes, personal items, Wal-Mart gift cards, and more from the community, who then purchase and donate it to them. A week's worth meals is provided in Loudon County. There will be non-perishable food, Turkeys, meats, and more passed out in November and December for Christmas.

Toys for Tots in Loudon County
The Marine Corp and non-profits help children under the age of 13 as well as students. The free toys offered by the national organization can't be combined with other programs and people can't apply at more than one charity. Also, be prepared with the child's specific requests when apply for Christmas help. There may be Legos, video or learning games, clothes, books, sneakers, tablets, and so much more. Loudoun County Holiday Coalition
Donations allow the non-profit to help low income families. Apply for personal care items, toys, clothes, gift certificates, coats for seniors, and more. All assistance is first come first served until items run out. Normally over 1000 families are assisted per year, and apply online.

Hospitalized children only can apply to the Santa Ride for Cole's Closet. The charity, using donations from the community and partnerships with the county police department, gives free Christmas toys to sick kids in the hospital. Free Christmas assistance is offered in partnership with the non-profit Help for Others. Clothes, free toys, gift certificates, games, toy trucks or dolls, and more is passed out. A major focus is on households living in poverty as well as single mothers.
