Free medical and health care clinics in Lake County and Waukegan.

Comprehensive medical care is available in Lake County Illinois for patients, including adults, children, and families. A number of free or low cost community clinics as well as health or dental centers operate in the region. People who need medical care, and who qualify for help, may be able to save substantially on their medical bills, prescriptions, dental costs, and other health care needs.

The exact types of medical care that is provided to adults will vary. Many centers will provide prevention services, treatment for illness and school and pre-employment physical exams. Some clinics may offer immunizations, medical examinations, health and development appraisals, and, very importantly, referrals to specialists.

Now while some people in Lake County Illinois may qualify for free medical or dental care more than likely the low income and/or uninsured will receive access to variable rate billing. This means that the amount billed to a patient will be based upon their total household income and/or health insurance status.
