Local churches work together to deliver food and groceries, bread and personal hygiene-related items to individuals and families in need of help in the community. Salvation Army of Kerrville Texas (phone (830)257-3620) is the worldwide non-profit that can provide direct financial assistance with paying rent and utility bills, free new or used clothing vouchers, or emergency food pantry that provides groceries and meals. The charity may also have free prescription medication assistance and vouchers, seasonal assistance (back-to-school and Christmas meals and gifts), disaster relief, and information and referral to government assistance programs and other local charities.
They are aware of both federal and state government foreclosure and mortgage assistance programs.
