Mortgage and rent payments - The agency may be able to help qualified individuals with paying their mortgage or rent if the applicant to the program has an eviction notice or a referral from another charity, non-profit or similar agency that is aware of your personal situation. Federal government/Oregon Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) - The program and community action agency can help with any type of heat, and the program is open to low to moderate income families and individuals. The assistance program will generally have funding available to help pay electric, heating, gas, or fuel oil bills to prevent disconnection of service for those who need help.

Homeless prevention - This may be more innovate products such as refundable loans for paying rent or security deposits, counseling with the land lord or tenant, and other services.
