Free food pantries, groceries and soup kitchens in Idaho Falls and Bonneville County

Find how low income families, and those in an emergency in Idaho Falls, can get free groceries, food, and other supplies from a pantry. There are dozens of locations in the greater Bonneville County region. The food banks as well as soup kitchens near you, listed below, can provide everything from hot holiday meals (at Christmas or Thanksgiving) to canned groceries, free baby formula, diapers, and even hygiene supplies today. The assistance programs vary. Also find a referral number at the bottom of the page for more options on food assistance programs.

It is recommended to call for hours as well as availability. Depending on donations to a pantry, as well as volunteers, qualified clients may be given some or all of the following:

-Canned groceries, which includes items like soup, canned meat, pasta, spaghetti sauce, and more.
-Free fresh food including dairy, fruit, vegetables.
-Baby formula for moms, including single mothers, or ensure for senior citizens.
-Idaho Falls homebound can also apply for Meals on Wheels from an aging center.
-Holiday food boxes, which may be groceries, free turkeys at Thanksgiving, and other supplies.

As noted, what may or may not be provided to families in Bonneville County will vary. However the goal of a pantry, soup kitchen and/or food bank is to provide some form of help to anyone in need, regardless of their age, race, religion, or income.
