Honolulu Hawaii free food pantries.

Low income families and people who are struggling during these difficult times may be able to receive free or low cost food, groceries, and meals. There is assistance available from charity or church run food banks and pantries near you in Honolulu. A number of centers operate in the community, and provide services to people of all backgrounds, religions, ages and nationalities. Several centers also focus on meeting the needs to military members.

Most of the food distribution programs provide prepackaged bags of food, which can include protein, vegetables, fruit, and canned goods. There also often free Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas meals at pantry run soup kitchens, Many of the pantries are Hawaii Food Bank Agency authorized agencies and can receive as well as distribute products. Some centers will require clients to sign a form confirming their need for help as well as the number of individuals that live in the household.

The non-profits are committed to providing outreach and assistance to the general community. Everyone who has a need for food is welcome to stop by. If they can’t meet your needs a center can often refer someone to another non-profit in Honolulu County or government program such as food stamps.

Food banks in Honolulu rely on the generosity of members of the community as well as the government. They can receive donations of furniture, household items, clothing, and canned / dry food goods from the public and distributes these items to low-income individuals, seniors, and people who need help. So if you can donate, please do so.
