Free medical community clinics in Honolulu

A number of free medical clinics that operate across Honolulu County provide services to the needy, which can include patients who are uninsured or low income. Some of the health care may be free, but more than likely the clinic will offer a sliding fee scale. This means that an individual will be billed based on their income and what they can afford to pay.

Some of the services offered in Honolulu Hawaii include general medical and preventive, yet affordable, health care services. This can include, but is not limited to, acute/episodic care, chronic care, and follow-up. Sometimes a community clinic can’t meet your medical or dental needs, so they can refer people to other hospitals or specialists that operate in Honolulu or Hawaii.

Many clinics also can provide assistance with prescription drugs, including to people without health insurance or that are on a government programs, such as Medicaid. They offer limited pharmacologic assistance, and will arrange for qualifying low income or uninsured patients to receive discounted prescription medications or vouchers through patient assistance programs.
