Hartford Connecticut free clothes, back to school supplies and furniture.

Find charity organizations and social service centers in Hartford County Connecticut that provide free clothing, back to school supplies, furniture and household goods to low income families. A wide range of items are available as well as free stuff. What is offered will partly depend on what was donated to the clothing or furniture banks. Get everything from appliances to computers, winter attire, back to school supplies, beds, mattresses, and so much more. Find free clothes or furniture near you in Hartford County CT.

As a result of limited resources, most of the non-profits will have an application process in place in order to get free items, even for people with no money. For those individuals who do not qualify for free clothes, furniture, or other stuff, they can turn to thrift stores and other low cost centers in the region. These Hartford locations are open to people of all income levels and they can sell gently used (or even new) goods to the general public, regardless of income.

Some of the primary closet distribution centers, furniture banks and thrift stores in Hartford County are below. Call them to learn about assistance programs offered including free work and school supplies, back to school items, baby supplies, diapers and more. A focus is on helping new parents get what they need for their newborn, and free diaper assistance programs are wide ranging.

Many also offer free Christmas assistance including gifts and toys for children from low income families. These will be seasonal services. If a non-profit clothing center can't meet your needs then they will try to refer an applicant to another nearby resource for help.
