Most of the Hartford County Connecticut Catholic Charity locations provide assistance with meeting basic human needs. Social workers will assist with care coordination that identifies and reduces the effects of barriers to sustained employment.
The People for Success program helps individuals and families to become self sufficient. Catholic Charities will ensure that clients have a full set of life skills and employment opportunities. Staff will assist clients to achieve the necessary level of education and skills for their desired careers, assisting clients to obtain employment, and minimizing risks to children through improving family safety.
Not only can clients get referrals to public and cash assistance, but The Empowering People for Success program is also committed to identifying family strengths and helping empower families and individuals to use these strengths to succeed in education, employment, and community building.
Assistance for immigrants and refugees in Hartford County
Refugee and immigration services are offered by most Catholic Charity centers, including the one in Hartford. The agency will welcome both immigrants and refugees. Maybe someone has faced religious persecution, or they have been forced to leave their country due to national disaster, warfare, and/or political persecution.
Regardless of your background or situation, the organization provides immigrants and others with comprehensive resettlement services that were designed to facilitate the individual’s acculturation into their new life of freedom in Connecticut.
