Real Life Center, Inc. is another organization that has as its goal the task if providing help for low income and hurting people by giving them short term relief and a means to cope with the financial, emotional, and spiritual hardships of life. Services and assistance provided to qualified individuals includes a free food pantry, clothing closet, assistance with finding a job and increasing income.

The faith based charity also offers employment services, furniture provision, and financial assistance for bills and housing expenses. Assistance from the community action agency is offered in the region. Residents of Fayette County can get help from the Clayton County Community Services Authority, Inc. Yes, the organization also serves as the agency for Fayette County residents. The types and numbers of assistance programs they provide are extensive.

  • The federal government created the weatherization program in order to help people save on and reduce their heating and utility bills. The program is free to qualified homeowners.   • They run what is known as a Community Support Component. This particular program provides qualified people with emergency short term financial assistance for paying bills and other expenses. Rachel's Ray of Hope, Inc. is an organization that provides free clothing for pre-k thru 12th grade students. This assistance is available for those who already qualify to receive free/reduced lunch in the Fayette County School system as well as for families who are experiencing hardship or have been displaced from their home. The Georgia DFCS, Department of Human Services administer public and government aid. Examples of what the very low income can apply for include TANF / Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, vouchers to pay for child care expenses, prescription expense, LIHEAP utility bill help, and rental assistance.
