Charities, churches, and non-profits in El Paso County as well as the city of Colorado Springs provide assistance during the holidays. The amount of free food, toys, Christmas gifts offered will vary based on donations, but almost every charity will only offer holiday help to registered households. In general, the Thanksgiving and Christmas meal or food programs are open to anyone in the county, regardless of their income. Salvation Army Colorado Springs Corps
There are multiple free holiday programs as well as social services. Angel Tree gives free gifts or presents to children under the age of 18.
