This is the local community action agency. They provide the low income with cash and forms of financial assistance. You need to apply and complete an intake form, but you may be able to get help for rent, mortgage payments, and energy bills.
Two of the key focuses of the agency, as well as Dorchester DCS, is on providing food as well preventing homelessness. So they have referrals to pantries or government aid such as SNAP food stamps.
