Families or individuals that need low income housing or a homeless shelter in Dallas Texas have resources available to them. Several non-profit organizations and government agencies run transitional housing units and offer other services to those that need a place to stay. Many of the programs are focused on a certain scenario, such as victims of domestic violence, pregnant mothers, or families with children.

Other resources can assist the homeless or people who were recently evicted from their home or apartment in Dallas County. In addition, clients of the housing units will often need to participate in case management which can include job training, education, and other programs.

This is a short term, emergency shelter for youth, teenagers and runaways. Case managers will also offer counseling, crisis intervention, and other services. The Transitional Living Program will last up to 18 months if needed. This program can lead to low income or subsidized housing or apartments in Dallas County.
