Naples Florida area charities and churches provide free Christmas assistance (toys, gifts, and food) along with assistance during the Thanksgiving holiday, including free turkey dinners as well as meals. There are a few leading agencies in Collier County that participate in these holiday programs, and they include the “Christmas Cheer” program, Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, and some local food pantries too. The primary resources are listed below.
Each of these agencies, whether they are a charity or church, rely on donations and volunteers. The USMC Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped gifts for kids under the age of 13. They also collect money and gift cards. Catholic Charities will rely on volunteers to serve hot holiday meals, and they also collect boxes of groceries from the public for a food pantry and soup kitchen. The Naples Christmas Cheer is also another major Christmas gift distribution event passing out clothes, toys, and gifts to everyone from children to the various senior citizens in Collier County. Naples Christmas Cheer
Free Christmas food, ingredients and gifts are passed out to low income families, children, and the elderly. There are two application sites, and the service is administered by the Collier County Salvation Army. There may be free books, clothes, electronics, toys and more for children, including from immigrant families. Collier County Toys for Tots
The US Marine Corps reserve has a dedicated person in Collier County who helps organize this. Gifts and toys are collected for children from needy families, and passed out (free free) to residents that qualify. Apply online at https://naples-fl.toysfortots.org/
