Free holiday assistance Clarksville and Montgomery County Tennessee.

There are a few places to get free Christmas gifts, presents, and both Thanksgiving turkey dinners and Christmas meals in the Montgomery County Tennessee area. There are charities and churches, as well as the Toys for Tots service from the Marine Corps which is based in Clarksville. When it comes to food or free holiday meals, a combination of soup kitchens and food pantries are used to help feed the community.

Since there are so few places to turn to for help, the charities will ensure they do not duplicate services. This means struggling parents can only get free Christmas gifts (toys, clothes, gift certificates, books, etc.) from one organization at a time. Food and free hot meals tend to be a little different, but the goal is to allow a low income family, senior citizen, or single parent the ability to get one meal per holiday.

Call one or more of the agencies below to apply. In addition, each of these charities needs both donations as well as volunteers. It is also good to give back during the Christmas and Thanksgiving season.

A free food pantry and soup kitchen are offered. It too serves Christmas and Thanksgiving meals to the homeless, poor, and others. Hygiene items, small gifts, and other free items may be given out too.

Toys for Tots service
This is the largest program in Montgomery County Tennessee. Hundreds if not thousands of infants, teenagers, and young kids get free toys, shoes, Christmas gifts, candy, and more each year. The exact number depends on both (1) donations and (2) demand. The USMC and local charities partners on the assistance program. https://clarksville-tn.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/request-toys.aspx
