Find where to get free health care, dental and other help in the Charlotte NC. Mecklenburg County is served by a number of medical and dental centers, volunteer dentists and doctors that assist low-income patients, people with no insurance and those on Medicaid. Some may offer free services to eligible patients while others are income based. Most locations will provide free medical care, telehealth and emergency dental work to underinsured, low income, or uninsured residents. Many sites are family clinics. Some of the services include free chronic disease treatment, primary care, OB/GYN, physicals, flu shots, women's clinic, dental cleanings, cancer screenings, and much more. Or get free insulin, RXs, medical equipment for home use and other items. There will be free eye exams and glassess too.

In addition, if the doctor or a site can’t help you with your condition, you may be able to get a referral to a specialist or nearby hospital. The charity is known as CCHC. They are one of the main free community clinics in the Mecklenburg County area with multiple sites. Get free medications, check- ups, OB/GYN, telehealth, medical for people with no insurance and more. There is also free dentists for wisdom teeth extractions, teeth cleanings, dentures, fluoride and more. Applicants need to meet a sliding fee scale range or they may be charged.

Lake Norman Free Clinic

A number of free programs are offered. This is a free, income based Federally Qualified Health Center. Some of the staff are volunteers, but the medical or dental care provided is of the highest quality. Get Colon/Rectal cancer screening program, health screenings, school and work physicals, immunizations, RX prescription medication and other items.

The center can provide Mecklenburg County families with information. Get referrals, support services, and other guidance from staff at the facility. They are a free or cheap clinic for the low-income, single moms, elderly, people on CHIP or Medicaid and more. Many volunteer nurses, doctors, dentists, and hygienists provide free health and dental care to the homeless and people who can’t afford to pay medical or hospital bills.

Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic
There are multiple locations of this non-profit, free health center. Walk-in care is offered too. Get free primary and preventive health care services for people with no medical insurance, the homeless and low-income.  Programs include Pediatrics, Primary or Urgent Care, and treatment for medical problems, immunizations, prenatal care. There is STD checks, free women’s health care, X-Rays and even behavioral health.

This is a government health care center. Free STD tests or treatment, vaccinations, pregnancy testing, and other public care.
