Boone County Missouri food pantries.

Short term assistance can be obtained from a food pantry in Boone County. The non-profits or government agencies that offer this help can also provide other services, ranging from food stamp applications to baby formula, hygiene items, and Christmas meals.

The hours of distribution vary widely by each agency. Several are only open a few days per month and other locations in Boone County have restrictions as to who can get a free box of food. A few locations only offer seasonal support, such as a free meal at the holidays. Even if a  certain request from a family can't be met, then the staff at the food bank will try to offer referrals to an alternate site.

Other services from the pantries is general counseling so the family can address what caused them to go into poverty. This is yet another service that has assisted hundreds of families in the region.
