The Boise Idaho area and surrounding counties are supported by a number of holiday assistance programs, including Angel Tree, Toys for Tots, and Adopt a Family .Find how and were to get free Christmas toys, holiday food baskets (including at Thanksgiving), presents and more. Many volunteers help run these services. They will collect and give out free toys, games, gift cards, turkey dinners, and other items so children as well as low income households have a Christmas present to open. This is for families living in poverty and the homeless. There may also be free holiday food boxes, referrals, and a program known as Charitable Assistance To Community's Homeless, or CATCH for children.
