Find a list of agencies that provide free Christmas gifts to kids, meals to the low income, food baskets, toys, Thanksgiving turkey dinners and more. The charities and non-profits that offer holiday assistance are regional in nature. They generally only provide free food, gift cards or Christmas gifts to families in the immediate region, including town or county. However they will tend to offer referrals if needed. Or a struggling, lower income family can dial the regional referral line for more information, which is listed below.

Most of the free holiday programs, whether it is a Thanksgiving meal or Christmas present/food, go to the working poor. Toys for Tots in NW Arkansas
This is the primary toy and gift program for children from lower income families. In general, the child will be given one or more toys to open Christmas morning. There may be gifts such as Legos, books, learning or video games, dolls, trucks, or free clothing too. They will be age or gender appropriate. Holiday help from the Salvation Army
There are multiple locations. They operate a number of financial assistance programs, give holiday help, and case management is provided. Examples of what may be offered includes free toys from Angel Tree, games for kids, and Meals on Wheels for the elderly or disabled. They also help feed the low income with free Thanksgiving turkey dinners. There is also shelter, rent help, and other seasonal aid.
