Assistance programs in Atoka, Johnston, Marshall, Murray Oklahoma

INCA Community Services, Inc. - A number of financial and non-monetary assistance programs are offered to the low to moderate income by this community action agency, which helps qualified individuals in the entire area. The agency provides a one time a year emergency rent assistance for families who face eviction or assistance with 1st month's rent to help homeless obtain shelter. A food pantry can offer help in an emergency. Head start offers children access to social services, education, and health care opportunities. Professionals can help people both complete and file their income taxes for free. An on site store can provide clothing for school and job related functions. Weatherization can help homeowners conserve money on utility bills, and low income energy assistance is also offered. Call INCA Community Services, Inc. in Tishomingo Oklahoma at (580) 371-2352.

Atoka County (OKDHS) - Clients must provide verification that their utility is currently disconnected or terminated by the supplier, will be cut off within 72 hours or that they will be out of fuel within 72 hours. (580) 889-3394

Hope Medical Clinic - Provides a faith-based ministry and staffed by volunteer participation of health care providers that offers limited health care for uninsured patients. Offers health screenings and preventive care, spiritual and emotional counseling, treats acute, minor non-emergency problems. Offers follow-up and limited management of chronic illness like hypertension, diabetes, screenings for hyperlipidemia, diabetes and hypertension wellness exams. Also provides limited quantities of medications from a charity pharmacy that will dispense non-narcotic prescription medicine if available (580) 239-9370

Chickasaw Nation Human Services Department - This government agency assists low to moderate income families and individuals with paying their utilities, provides help with rent, free food assistance or any other type of services or resources to help counter act a family facing an eviction and/or becoming homeless. First United Methodist Church of Madill - This church provides a service known as a "Blessing Bucket", which is basically involved in providing utility bill assistance to the needy Marshall County Oklahoma residents and low income families. At most you can get $100 per year.

 

 

 

 

Salvation Army supports Marshall County and other area. Call (580) 795-7476. They offer emergency utility assistance for people facing an emergency. They can also advise families as to utility disconnection laws. A food pantry and other emergency assistance is also offered on site.

Bread of Life Ministries of Madill ((580) 795-3559) can provide up to one bag of free groceries per week to qualified individuals.

First Baptist Church of Davis, which is located in Davis Oklahoma and can be reached at (580) 369-2151, offers free food and nutritional supplements to low income individuals up to once per month.
