Atlantic County food banks and pantries.

In an effort to prevent hunger, food banks across Atlantic County assist low income families as well as people facing a one time crisis. There are non-profit pantries as well as locations based at churches and local charity organizations. Many of them also partner with the state and county government on their food assistance programs.

The resources available at a food pantry in southern New Jersey as well as Atlantic County are focused on struggling households. Locations may offer free bags of groceries, snacks for children, or hot meals. Staff will also be able to help clients meet other needs, whether it is clothing, applications to SNAP food stamps, provide USDA commodities, or more. So the pantries are wide ranging in what they do.

The types of goods as well as the hours of each pantry will vary widely. It is recommended that residents call a location before stopping by. Some of the sites are below.
