Arizona people with no money and low-income families will receive free food, meals, groceries, and other items such as hygiene supplies. The assistance is offered from numerous food banks and free pantries near you that are located across the state. Staff at the sites can also help clients sign up for public benefits including Nutrition Assistance or refer them to drive thru pantries open today that are more convenient to their home. Many of the non-profit food banks and distribution centers in the state work closely with other charities, government human service offices, and local churches. Many locations may also be part of national non-profit charity type organizations (including Feeding America) that provide low cost or free food to the low income, disabled, unemployed, elderly, and others across the nation. Assistance programs include free USDA commodities for seniors, kids, and immigrants or migrant workers. This includes cheese, milk, bread, airy, and canned goods. St. Marys Food Bank covers Phoenix AZ. Low-income and single mothers will get help. They help feed the homeless, migrants, unemployed and people with no money. Referrals are given, as well as access to free emergency food pantries in the region.
